A fast growing hardy native tree which can grow up to 25m in full sunlight, that produces white bell shaped flowers, attracting birds and butterflies throughout spring. This elaeocarpus obovatus also fruits drupe, a small blue coloured edible berry.
This species is fire retardant and would suit a large back yard or planted as a tall windbreak.
The hard quandong grows best in full sun with well draining soil, they are salt and drought resistant.
