The Prunus persica dwarf is a small tree growing to 1.5m in height, it has attractive red foliage and produces sweet juicy stone fruit with red smooth skin and yellow flesh. The nectarine tree is self fertile, so only one tree is required. Small pink flowers bloom on the tree throughout spring creating a great contrast to the branches.
The nectarine tree is most commonly known for its fruiting ability, these juicy stone fruit can be eaten fresh off the tree, dehydrated, cooked, used in jams, sauces, relishes and desserts or pies. This partifular fruit tree also grows well in pots.
Growth is best in a suptropical climate. The nectarine is frost tolerant once established and enjoys full sun.
