A type of guava native to Central and northern South America, growing to 5m tall. White fragrant flowers grow in clusters. Beings fruiting after 2-3 years.
Fruit is a small round and firm, with yellow skin and white/yellow pulp. It is said to have a tart strawberry-like taste. It has traditional medical uses in the Americas including for fighting colds and treating diarrhea.
Grows best with moist and fertile soil with full sun, but is quite a tolerant plant.
