Mexican fan palm or mexican washingtonia is grown as an ornamental tree. Fast growing of heights up to 25m tall. Similar to the California Fan Palm famed on Los Angeles streets and boulevards. A singular tapered stem which produces a crown of bright green leaves which will form a skirt of dead brown fronds if not cleared.
Creates a tropical look well suited to large gardens and parks. Tolerates a range of soils however prefers drained-soil in a full sun position.
