An evergreen native to Coastal Eastern Australia. May grow up to 40m but usually between 10 and 20m. Loses most of its leaves before flowering in spring/summer. Flowers are toothbrush like, bright yellow/orange/gold.
A popular ornamental native, also used as a shade tree. Has been used for woodworking and in guitars due to its superior tone and aesthetics.
Prefers moist well drained soil and full-sun.
